Grand Am Racing: Sahlen’s Six Hours Of The Glen

  • July 9, 2013

Photos from the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series at Watkins Glen in June 2013.  Wow.  What a track, and what a race. Huge, sweeping ribbons of asphalt generate very high speeds here, and the elevation changes kept the drivers on their toes, especially when a short burst of rain appeared in the last hour of the race. Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi brought their No. 5 Action Express GRAND-AM Rolex Sport Series car home in first place, and in doing so grabbed the championship lead. The GT class trophy was won by the No. 57 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GT.R, driven by Robin Lidell.
